The design of the human body never ceases to amaze me.
As far as the back goes, there's one soft tissue structure that is positioned centrally and has the capacity to simultaneously support and transmit movement. It's connected to the lats muscles, to abdominal muscles to the spinal column, the ribs and the hip bones. It's truly a mediator for core and back muscles, and therefore the movement of the spine. What is it, you might ask? It's not a muscle. It's not a tendon. It's not a ligament. It's the thoracolumbar fascia.
