Roll Onto Your Side

Roll onto your side. As you do this, try to keep your spine moving as a unit, rather than twisting it. Imagine a steel rod or wooden log running the length of your spine, starting from the shoulder area and moving down to the hip area.

To achieve the rolling, let gravity help you. The key to this is to avoid intentional tightening of your back or ab muscles.
