Question: What procedures are used in minimally invasive spine surgery?
Answer:

Surgeons make a very small incision between the fibers of muscles. Then they out carve tunnels. This is called muscle dialation.

The tunnels give the surgeon the opportunity to see your spine, with the help of tiny cameras with microscopes that are inserted. The images captured by the cameras are projected onto a high definition monitor. The surgeon views the area she or he is working on by looking at the monitor.

Tiny instruments are used inside the incision holes to perform the surgery.
