Talking over your feelings and concerns helps to alleviate the feeling of isolation that can come with a medical problem.

  • The Wellspouse Foundation provides a number of forums for family members of people with chronic pain or disabilities. Check their website for state-by-state options.
  • Family Caregiver Alliance has discussion groups for the general population and for the GLBT community.
  • Where can you find torture and acceptance, fear and love, and imprisonment and hope all on the same page? The Chonic Pain Visual Arts Project has a pain exhibit displaying works of art by chronic pain sufferers. At the bottom of the exhibit is a way to enter the full site, containing more art (organized by categories), essays and project information.
  • Pain World, an international online community of chronic pain sufferers, has several forums and one chatroom. The Pain and Joke Forums are open to everyone. The Chatroom and Computer Forum require membership.
