Question: How is a neurostimulator implanted and worn?
Answer: Some neurostimulator devices are fully implanted, meaning that the battery is placed under the skin, along with all the other elements of the system. With other types the battery remains outside the body. Implanting a neurostimulator generally requires a surgical procedure.
