very bad crick

I am 10 yrs old with back pain and now I have a crick in the neck so what I did was get some (very) hot water on a washcloth. You can also put water on the washcloth and put it in the microwave. I folded it into a square and put it on where it hurts and then applied a lot of pressure to it. I made sure not to drain the water, which meant holding my neck and head over a sink. I did this about 5 to 8 times.

What to do about a crick

I got a friend to lightly step on my neck with my head turned to the side! Note from Guide: Be careful. This could backfire and result in a neck injury. I don't recommend this at all.

ugh!

So, I woke up with a terrible pain in my neck! Rubbing it don't help. I'm guessing it will take time to go away?

Mine Hurts Pretty Bad.

I woke up this morning with a crick in my neck and after reading these, I tried massaging it, but that didn't work so right now, I have a hot rag on the part that hurts. *Fingers Crossed* I hope this works.

Relax

When I have a crick, I get a long ice pack, lay on it from shoulders to neck and just RELAX!!! Maybe catch up on a book or just play on my phone and before I know it the crick is gone. P.s. Thnx's for all the other responses

Rid of it

All I do is twirl my head slowly around and I hear a crack when you hear the crack start massaging it I found that this works please comment if it is successful or not thanks!!! From Guide: While this may work for you, it may not work for others. Each person's crick is different, based on their health status and other things.

crick crisis !

I've had a crick in my neck since the time I woke up. The pain has increased rapidly as the day has gone by. I'm in the 8th grade and I'm very rushed. Today I got hit in the head with the locker above me. This didn't go very well with the crick. I had to get my aunt to bring my 2 pills. The headache was crazy insane. I don't advise taking Motrin. That's what I took and it didn't help. Any help on this ? Help please . Thanks !

How to help

Hey! I am 12 year's old and know a technicque for dealing with cricks! You take your neck and bend it to the side that does not hurt, have someone hold your neck that way, and for 5 seconds, try and push up against there hand to make your head straight with them trying to pull your head down. do this 5 times for 5 seconds each, resting 10 seconds inbetween each one. My school trainer taught me how to do this. This should help! I get cricks in my neck every morning due to a almost broken neck injury diving off a diving board 2 years ago! Trust me, I do this every morning and it truly does work!

Helping you people.....

Well what I do when I have a crick in my neck is... I get some one to rub it, then I put an icyhot on it for 4 hours straight, then I just tilt my head forward then backwards and repeat many times, then I lay down with a folded up pillow on my neck and lay there for about 3 hours.

Don't know what to do!!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning and had a HORRIBLE crick in my neck. I knew not to go to my brother because last time I did that, he popped my neck out of place and it stayed there for 2 days. I have been talking to my friend about it and she is having me move my head around a lot. It still hurts a lot but it is feeling a little bit better. She told me it always works for her, but for some reason, it won't work for me. I've always been the odd one out in everything.... why not this to? I know there are others out there that are odd ones out. Can you help me??? I am soooooooooooo sick and tired of not being able to turn my head even a little bit without a HORRIBLE pain. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
