Human Kinetics is a book publisher specializing in physical education topics. They recently sent me a book on tai chi, a martial arts form popular in the US and all over the world, to review. Boy was it great! I really think this book has something for everyone who has any level of interest in Tai Chi, including people dealing with back pain. It's well illustrated (hence, the name Tai Chi Illustrated) and easy to follow. It has a section specifically dedicated to tai chi and back pain.
