Lengthening Your Spine Before You Get Out of Bed is a Good Way to Minimize Back Pain and Stiffness.(c) Anne Asher
This picture shows a good way to decompress your spine first thing in the morning. Experiment to find the most comfortable position for your head. If your neck feels okay, you can lengthen your spine with your head turned to one side. The addition of a pillow under your abdomen may help to support your low back.
