The goal of Feldenkrais is to become aware of the way we move, and to develop efficient movement habits. This reduces strain on joints and saves muscular energy. You can experience Feldenkrais in 2 different ways:

  • Awareness Through Movement (ATM)
    • ATM is a class where participants self-observe while being guided through easy movements.
  • Functional Integration (FI)
    • FI is a one-on-one hands-on session with a Feldenkrais practitioner. The Feldenkrais practitioner places their hands on you in order to guide you to perform certain (easy) movements. The purpose of this is to help you find the movement pathways that can establish (or reestablish, as the case may be) efficient movement habits. All touching done in an Functional Integration session should be respecting, gentle and non-invasive.
