Equal Disease Prevention Opportunities - Kid Style - Physical Activity

APHA is advocating providing children with opportunities to be active by means of:
  • sidewalks
  • bike paths
  • parks
  • physical education in schools.
The website KidsHealth.org, gives a chart of the activity recommendations according to the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE). The chart is organized by age, and includes minimum daily activity times.

You can also check out the kid-friendly, interactive guide to safe sports and sports etiquette on the Play It Safe page on BAM!. You can choose between 29 sports.
