Being in pain can be very isolating. For people who are used to being active, it is also quite an adjustment. The National Chronic Pain Outreach Association and other groups recognize this and offer a listing of in-person support groups and other resources for those who suffer.

1. National Chronic Pain Outreach Association - Support Groups Listing

The National Chronic Pain Outreach Association offers a listing of support groups across the US.

Can't find one in your area? The National Chronic Pain Outreach Association will help you start one.

2. American Chronic Pain Assoication - Support Group Information

The American Chronic Pain Association was started by a fellow sufferer who had gone through a pain management program and was looking to maintain and practice her new skills. She put a note up on a bulletin board, thus beginning the ACPA. Find out if there is a group in your state. For more information about those groups, call: 800-533-3231 or email them at: ACPA@pacbell.net.
