Disabled Artists - A Call for Entries:
Young (ages 16-25) artists who have disabilities are invited to submit entries for a nationally touring exhibit that have its debut at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. 15 artists will be selected from the entries -- there are cash awards, plus an Awards Ceremony to be held on Capitol Hill. The contest/exhibition is sponsored by VSA.org (very special artists)and Volkswagen.
The Theme of the Exhibit - Destination Anywhere:
The idea is to create and submit a piece of artwork that expresses a place the viewer of the piece may never go, if not for seeing your work. Realistic renderings, abstracts, feelings, and reflections on how living with disability influence the destination are all fair game for submission.
Destinations Anywhere - Media:
Media accepted for submission are:
  • paintings
  • drawings
  • fine art
  • prints photography
  • computer art
  • mixed media
This exhibit is for two dimensional art only. Pieces can be up to 5 feet in either direction. If you art does not fit into this format contact the coordinator at jenniferc@vsarts.org or 800-933-8721 ext. 3885 to discuss.

VSA arts is an international nonprofit organization with a mission to create a society in which all people with disabilities learn through, participate in and enjoy the arts.
