Definition:

Supine is a word that describes the position of your body when you are lying on your back. Clinicians, such as physical therapists, use the term supine to talk or write about positions they place their patients/clients in when giving manual therapy, stretching and back exercises that work the core. They also use the word supine when they record these activities in their notes.

Examples:
The supine spinal twist is a restorative yoga pose in which you lay on your back - the supine position - and take your bended knees over to one direction in order to stretch your core.
