Definition: Thermography is a relative new-comer to medical diagnostic imaging techniques. It is based on the idea that inflammation increases temperature. Thermography measures temperature to detect pathology. In 2004, researches at Duke University studied 91 patients with arthritis of the hand, using thermography, with encouraging results.
